Super Bowl XLV will be the 45th annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 41st annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL). The game, to be played on February 6, 2011, will pit the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers against the NFC champion Green Bay Packers to decide the NFL champion for the 2010 season.
The Steelers are the second team to play in Super Bowls televised on all four major broadcast networks in the United States (NBC-IX, XIV and XLIII, CBS-X and XIV, ABC-XL, and Fox-XLV), joining the Denver Broncos. Should the Steelers win, they will become the first team to win a Super Bowl televised on each of the four networks.
Five days prior to the game, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, seized and shut down several Web sites that have provided access to pirated Internet television feeds of NFL games.[24]
